I got this one last weekend on a horse pasture behind an occupied old plantation house I frequently hunt. It was only about 4.5" down, but completely on edge, it was a screamer. Running FC, A+2, ID'd as a 12-42. I am digging a lot less trash and covering a lot more ground since the CTX class. (Thank you Andy!) I am heading back there in the morning.

Now that's metal detecting. Got Andy's book. Reduced my time deciding whether to dig or not.
Getting more depth and accuracy. Found an old Buffalo Nickel yesterday but it was toasted.
Barely could read the date. Not positive but looks like 1931.

It's amazing how much more fun it is when you aren't digging a lot of junk!
