Three barber day and a cool fob

Seatedhalf

New member
Found the Quarter and dime in same hole just over 7 inches. I made one more pass and got the half about 2 feet from the edge of road that runs through the park(over 40 silver from this park with the E-Trac and these 3 make 8 of them barbers).

Cool Allied War Veterans fob. Anybody seen one like it before? I am having trouble getting much info on it. Any help would be appreciated.

Great Finds!! Your dirt looks as dry as ours here in Missouri. Can't wait untill I can get out and nail some silver with My ET!!!

Sweet finds. It really is the year of the Barber!! Minelab machines sure are sucking up the halfs too.

Congrats on a super hunt! The barber half still eludes me, but I know they are out there. Thanks for the pics.

Wow, never seen a fob like that! Sweet finds. Maybe there's a local museum or historical group that could shed some light?

Great finds and Awesome pictures. Congratulations!

The FOB is for the United Spanish War Veterans or USWV, They were a large organization just as the GAR or Grand army of the Republic.
They had large encampments of soldiers and probably in the later years had large reunions.
There is a large amount of info on the net about them.
Very nice find!

Sweet, sweet, sweet finds.

Thanks Labrador. That much I do know about it. Was really wondering if anybody had an idea of maybe years of manufacture. Benton Harbor is across the state from me and not a 5 minute trip to see if local museum has one like it. I wondered if it is from certain years within the organization or something like that.

That is a great Barber! Love the token.

Great finds! The Allied War Veterans item may be a souvenir suspension badge to commemorate
a reunion or encampment. It lists a specific time and place. I've found a few of those for Volunteer
Fireman's conventions. Bet there's a lot left to find at that park.
