My friend found these buttons with his bliss... All were 12-14" deep! Any ideas on age? Thanks in advance for your interest and help!

The word TREBLE is very popular on early colonial buttons.TREBLE comes from the word high.Like a Treble(high note)in music terms. This is saying treble orange, meaning high(treble) gold(orange).A lot of these flat buttons will say Treble gilt(high gilt). These buttons with writing on the back are so cool.I did a lot of research on these buttons without a book. Before America got good at manufacturing these buttons were shipped here and brought here from settlers, from Europe.I talked to a professional named mark parker that said the native American Indians loved these buttons because of the gold. And of course they looked like coins. There are hundreds and hundreds of different types.Nice button! :-D
