Three new goodies from the F70

This past weekend went to an old racetrack that is now cornfield and a nearby fairgrounds and found a few items there with both the CZ and the F70. The F70 got me a nice 1893 Colombian Expo token, about LC size at 7" that rang up loud and clear though it appeared to be on edge on the side of the hole when I found it. Also in the field I found a holed buffalo nickel about 4" down.

Later in the nearby fairgrounds I was swinging in a shallow small creek where erosion had exposed a nice swath of the clay bed underneath. In one of the holes from a dislodged rock I got a good high cent signal and dug in to find a good looking circa 1925 Wadsworth silver belt buckle with an neat art deco design.

The CZ5 did pull a nice 1865 2-center out of the cornfield at 7" later in the day.
 
Very nice and rather deep, how did they hit- solid signal or soft? Cool belt buckle! :thumbup:
 
Oh yeah, they all read solid, consistent numbers. The buckle read 68-69, it has nickle and copper hardware on the back and is stamped WADSWORTH STERLING. and was about 4" deep in a hole from a washed out rock in the clay bed of the creek. Also got a '24 wheat and a early mem from the clay but the wheat was beat!

The token is about the size of a large cent but thinner and came in a solid 63. Kept digging almost a foot before realizing it was actually on the edge just inside the hole and down about 7". It was in a wash in the cornfield.

The buff rang in a solid 30. Pulled a lot of shotgun brass there that varied widely from about 28-40 inlcuding one live 12 gauge shell most likely dropped durng the last hunt season.

One small calibre musket ball with the sprue on it rang in at high 50's. Several of these were found that day by others also apparently dropped after casting and before trimming.

One guy found a three ring minie and it came out and read mid 60's when I checked it's read on my rig, about where it should have.

That silver case looks like art deco for sure. Might be worth some serious bucks to a collector. Congrat's on all your goodies.
