Probably my best find of the year came up yesterday, solid silver that had been gilded, dates too late 14th early 15th century

Its possible you know that one of the Three Musketeers may have dropped that.

Actually now you come to mention it....but really it does beg the question were these functional or decorative, and how were they fastened to a strap?
