While out digging in the soccer field today,I located a target, set
the detector on the ground, and began to dig a plug. You know the drill LOL.
Anyhow, while i was digging i happen to get my digger close to the X1 box
and it picked up my digger,so i moved the probe to the other side of the detector and waved my digger under the X1 box.
I had a thresh hold and it made it null.
So,after i get done put the probe back in the holder, flip the switch back to coil.
I wave the digger by the X1 box again, and it picks it up still.Making it null.
I am not getting like a beep or tone or anything, but it will make the detector null.

Could someone try this and let me know if they have the same results?

I couldn't tell it was effecting the coil or normal detecting,or that it was picking up anything
else.
just kind of odd to me!

I tried it and heard a brief null only when I actually touched the Sunray box with the digger. It would go right back to threshold if I kept the digger there. I'm not sure why touching the box has anything to do with it since the bottom cover is plastic. Sorry, not much help.

Got an update from ralph at sunray.
This is normal and has never caused a problem!
