Went to hunt a fairgrounds, that turned out to be filled in quite a bit. Deep clad quarters sound really good...LOL.

On the way home I drove thru a small town where there was a courthouse and a small park.....the park looked OLD!!!! But I guess everyone else thought the same thing. There was nothing in the high conductive range......zero. Lots of down deep iron, but I couldn't find even a off hitting indian. I was getting ready to give in and leave, but I thought no way am I leaving with nothing. So I tried another section, there was a very large tree with roots sticking out all around. I worked the 6x8 around and over them and finally locked on a coin hit. 44-12 down maybe 4 inches between some roots.....copper memorial I thought for sure. So after some root surgery, I got the target out in the pile. Slowly pushing the dirt there she be.......silver. I thought...no way I was going out like that!! Carefully removing the dirt.....holy smokes it's seated baby!!!!!!

1877 no mark......the picture is not the greatest, but the coin is in beautiful shape!!!!
