Took the equinox to one of my favorite places and found this 14k 7.2 gram gold ring. Valued at approximately 165.00.melt value. Not bad for its maiden hunt. The ring was only about 4" but I was getting a high 30's on the vdi and an 18-19.Thinking a quarter or silver maybe even a bottlecap.Bottle cap because of the high and lower numbers . So I scraped off about 3" of soil and pulled my pinpointer out and I'm getting two separate targets. Maybe 2 inches apart. I dig the left one out and its the ring. The other target turned out to be a 3" by 1/2 rusty piece of metal. I'm thing it was falseing on the rusty metal giving me a high vdi but glad I dug it.
Oh before anybody asks I was in park 2 ,0 bias 50 tone 23 sensitivity and 4 recovery speed.
