Took the E-Track for a relic hunt today.

Still learning as I go. Hunted in relic mode but loded the nail reject pattern from mine lab. Ran the Sensitivity auto +3 most of the time if I got in alot of trash and iron went down was -2 at one time. This is the most stable Mine lab detector I have ever hunted with. Ended up With Three Civil war Bullets and four flat buttons and some brass what is its and some sort of brass compact lid. Not bad for a hunted out area. Dug one piece of about the size of a Quarter at 11 inches. So far the E-Track is a keeper for me.

If you take a close look at how much is actually rejected when NAILS are selected for rejection, you will see that it rejects a lot more than just nails. I found that you need to "white out" about half of the pattern to accept shell fragments and cannon balls . . . . . .would have missed one I pulled out of the Nickajack Creek area in Atlanta earlier this summer doing some testing of the unit.

I've never found a frag or a cannonball......

Do you have an alternate "nail reject"pattern ?

The modified pattern is shown below.

The outline shows where the NAILS reject area is in preset. The cursor shows where the cannon ball actually hit and how leaving it in NAILS would have rejected it. The pattern did kick out small pieces such as barbed wire and mails yet hit the cannon ball solidly.

Thanks Andy...
