Texas volley ball court sand is killing our latest version of cheap pennies.

Yes the copper in a new penny seems to be 10% ....

I looked up the composition.

US Mint said:
1982, when the composition was changed to 97.5 percent zinc and 2.5 percent copper (copper-plated zinc).

Ya'd think this country could afford something better. Instead of "I found silver' some day it will be "I found copper".

Euro and our pennies are almost made the same way.....

As cheap as they are they still cost more then a penny to make. Go figure!

Fifty years from now all of those zinc pennies will be so badly corroded away that there won't be anything left to find.

How about less than a Month

It is true they corrode within weeks of being dropped

Not only is the Mint producing inferior coins but also it costs them more to make than they are worth

How do you say...... "Stupid and Stupid"

I like the Car !!!!
