Took the lady for a walk.

One of our Mounted Posse (Search and Rescue) members has a 1904 built house in a small community north of here. In casual conversation I asked if the place had ever been detected, she said not to her knowledge but she has only lived there for 10 years. She had time yesterday so I drove up.

I had bought a Y connector for the 1/4” headphone jack and with the free phones that came with the package I can have someone walk and listen if they’re interested (mainly for the grandchildren who are interested). Plugged in and took off!! Now we all know we twist and turn when checking signals so this turned into a non musical waltz lesson darn quick!!😂😂
Hit a small coin spill right off the bat! 59 quarter, 64 nickel, and 61 penny. This might get interesting..... We waltzed around the front yard trying the most likely areas so she could hear the sounds and feel the excitement of the finds. We ended up with two old pot metal kid guns (all in pieces) at about 6” deep, a couple whatzits, and I recovered a small pendant with chain attached (about 8” deep).
We later discovered the pendent had two hearts on it and the very small chain had the clasp and ring still attached. It basically would fit around 50 cent piece so it had to have been a baby's bracelet. She is still cleaning it but I suspect its brass or copper.
Managed to find a $1 in clad so not bad for taking the lady on a mystical waltz and jkline and I are going back to do a better search on Friday!
PS; she got hooked!!!

I bet you both got excited to hit that coin spill right off the bat!!!
With the age of the house and if no one has ever searched it before, there should be more good finds there.
That coin spill could have eluded others due to that nickel being mixed in with it.
I recently found a silver dime with a nickel vey close to it.... I believe that is why it was still there.
Good luck on your return trip there!!!🤞

Getting other people interested in the hobby is always a plus. Nice hunt.
