AWESOME! Well deserved! I think, like the U.S. mint putting reeded edges on coins, Mexico put those marks on the edge to stop crooks from shaving silver off the edges.

Beautiful Reale in fantastic condition but I'm not sure you can say it's your oldest if your mystery coin from May 12th is indeed from around 250 B.C. Looks like this reale might be 2000 years too young.

I understand that reasoning. The Eqyptian coin could turn out to be a fake reproduction as well. At least you know the reale is the real deal. Congrats on a great find . The reale is in terrific condition.
