The ring was gorgeous till I tried to straighten it out using the wrong tool and cracked it.
Still, one of the nicest silver rings I ever found.
I was at an old park in an area near some tennis courts.
People have been walking around here for a long time so this grassy area in between the parking spots and the courts were filled with trash.
I had the sense on about 60, -1 on the thresh, disc on1, DE and 4H tones and I found a copper penny as my first target but it was still in a very jumpy environment due to some wifi or power lines from the homes just across the street.
I lowered the sense down to 40 and everything went quiet, and then the second target came in as a rock steady 73 at about 3 inches and this baby popped up.
I now have full confidence in my F70 at 30-60 sense settings this thing will still go deep.
For me in my good dirt even on 30 I believe I can probably get to about 10", maybe more, if I run across a target that deep when using the 11" DD coil.
At least 8", anyway...maybe deeper if I swich to SL.
By lowering that sense all targets became clear and I could pluck them out one by one, or leave them in the ground if I wanted to.
In trashy sites my sense gets lowered to between 30 and 50 depending on how quiet the F70 is at these settings and I believe this is the way I will hunt from now on when I come across trash.
No more messing around...just find the quietest setting and go.
The minute I did that on this hunt I found that ring.
