treasure on national forest property

New member
If I was to locate hidden treasure in Michigan on National Forest property can I keep it? And do I need a permit if it was to be over 100 years old?

Forrest service land is different than BLM land, while it is open to mineral claims, each state is different, you may need a land use permit.

Who would know, if you didn't speak of your find. Better to keep quiet as others may stake a claim to it...................
