Triple Score on Vacation.

Hi,
That time of year for our Summer Vacation.
Again this year My wife and I packed up.uor pick up and.traved 600 miles to the Michigan Copper country, where she was born, 70 years.ago.
For recreation:
● She has a high school class reunion at the end of this week.
● We took our Telescope to take advantage if the world class dark skies. Unfortunately, the Canadian wild fires make this endeavor doubtful.
● I took my triple score to search the old copper mine dump poor rock piles for native copper specimens. I got out early morning to do some detecting before it got too hot.

Unexpectedly, I found a coin!

This setup minimizes iron falsing, keeps gold alive, and makes silver/copper pop hard.

The way this is working for me to hunt copper nuggets, in 3 tone, middle tone is smaller or deep nuggets. High tone is larger nuggets or that silver dime with ID in the 40's.
Soft sound is deeper targets. In packed rock piles I tend to ignore. Too hard to dig. Loud tones are close to the surface and or larger targets. I got to dig those.

Great find on that dime, 126 years old!
By looking at the wear on the coin I'd estimate it was dropped around 1940.
