Tuesday Hunt

Well, it's raining again today. It's a good thing I got out for a few hours yesterday. I found the usual clad and a silver Rosie. I also found the two toy cars.

I found this president token. It is an aluminum token of Shell's Mr. President Coin Game - this Shell Gasoline promotion, was produced by Franklin mint in 1968. The tokens were given out at participating Shell stations when the customers filled up. A customer then filled a Presidents Card and could win whatever dollar amount was in that row, and of course there were "instant" winners. Some winners of the game would receive a complete 35 piece solid bronze presidential coin set. At least it was something different. HH Rob

You sure are doing good with the silver dimes lately. Think back, where were you when that token was made? I still have not been able to do any hunts but I think it will be soon. HH Dennis in Idaho

Yes, I have found a few. If you notice they aren't that old and neither are my sites. Man I'm getting tired of the rain, the grass and woods areas are growing too fast. I noticed that not many of the regulars are posting finds. Hey I'm at least looking for something to read about.

I'd like to try some older locations but it isn't safe to hunt them alone. Well hoping we start making some good finds. Rob

hey rob i would love to hunt with you sometime, let me know you can either come down here or ill come up there. BY the way ive found a firetruck like that but yours in a lot better shape. thanks bryan

Where is down there Bryan?

about a hour from peoria, vermont il western il. didnt i meet you at the hunt at camp wokanda

I was there with my wife Paulette. We were camped next to Nancy and Larry. I met many nice people. You guys are lucky to have such a nice group of people. I'll send you a PM. Rob

Super finds Rob! You've been hot with the silver lately. :clapping: I see you've been reading up on some sites. Good going. Hey, when you need a hunting partner, Larry is available, but limited with his business. He had a great time hunting with you and both did great! I'm surprised there isn't more detectorists up your way. HH to all, Nancy

Very nice finds Rob, I sure wish I could get out and swing the detector its rained off and on every day for three weeks......:rage:... when its not raining I am having to catch up on work..............:ranting:

Nice finds Rob. I have some posted on the V forum too. Like you, it has been tough getting out between the rains plus there is the non-stop yard work to do too. I would feel safer hunting with that bswift guy, he looks like someone you don't want to mess around with..... Sounds like a road trip coming up for us Bryan.

LOL, i would love to have you guys come down, ill even take you out for supper my treat., i have at least four spots i know you two would find a 1800 coin, however my best spot has grass up to your knees and the field the old underground railroad house set in is now planted.

Hey Rob,
Congrats on the silver!!! We haven't talked for a while. I sold my M6 and got an Xterra 70 that I am pleased with. I'll shoot you a PM next time I am heading out
and maybe we can get some swings in together.

Makton/Todd
