Two days at the beach!

Hello all. Just got home last night from the beach. Weather was terrific, and enjoyed some great detecting with the Excalibur. Thought I'd pop in a few photos of the location! Thanks for looking!

Hello bdahunter, I personally find snorkling much more easier than wading through the water. You see perfectly clear under there, just fan the sand for the target, and there it is! I snorkle in about 3 to 4 feet of water, where I can swipe the coil with ease, but I still go as deep as 5 to 6 feet, if I'm feeling energetic, and swipe the sea bed, as that's where I get a lot of pre-decimal coins and the occasional ring. Just takes more effort. Great if you want to get fit in a hurry. Good for the lungs too!!

You see perfectly clear under there, just fan the sand for the target, just swim around with ease, no water resistance, except when there's a bit of a current. Great thing is, you see the target and pluck it out of the sand, and I pop it into a small canvas pouch that's velcroed around the handle, just below the arm rest. I snorkle in about 3 to 4 feet of water, where I can swipe the coil with ease, within arm length reach, but I still go as deep as 5 to 6 feet, if I'm feeling energetic, and swipe the sea bed, as that's where I get a lot of pre-decimal coins and the occasional ring.
