[attachment 279577 11-30-2013LibertyNickels.jpg]Well I have never found a liberty nickel at the beach before, but today was a surprise, a 1904 and 1911. Plus a buffalo no date, and $3.60 in clad.

Gene not sure if I told you but Jackalyn had a grand slam from the same yard the other day . Im so glad the beach is being kind to you . Its awesome to see your using you 3030 again great job

That's great Gene!

They could have been planted there from a previous hunt from a Metal Detecting Club. I have had the same experience at my beach only to find this out, either way they're still great finds.

Wow... those are a rarity for a West Coast beach. I think there is a lot of stuff like that has worked itself way out off the beach in storms and such. Looking at the history of Coronado and Mission Beach, there were some turn of the Century storms that moved a lot of sand. There were even tent cities and such. The only really old coin I have found on the beach was a Seated Lady dime after they pumped in sand from about a half mile out to replenish the sand at Pacific Beach. Congratulations on the finds... nes
