Two nice surprises yesterday

Mosley

New member
Yesterday I went to an old park in town. This park has been heavily detected, but I have been finding some good things there with my E-trac. Yesterday I found a clad dime, two wheats, some zinc pennys, several pre 82 pennys, a lot of screw tops, several pieces of melted lead, etc. The last item I found was a badly worn Indian Head penny.
If a coin is covered in dirt, grime, etc. when I recover it, I don't try to clean it in the field, but wait till I get home. When I got home, I put the coins in some water with soap to loosen the dirt, etc. In the afternoon I took a closer look. The clad dime had a date of 1946. It wasn't clad. It was badly tarnished Rosie, but has cleaned up nicely.
Then I started to look at the Indian Head penny. On the back it said, One Dime. It was a 1896 Barber Dime. My first.
I would post pictures, but when I try, the site says they are too large.

On my previous thread I mentioned I could do this for you if you E-mail it to me and I will
downsize the photo and send it back to you.

Use the paint program on your computer I will try to walk you through the steps.
1. Click file in top left corner
2. click open
3. click the file that your pic is in (usually in my pictures)
4. once the image is in front of you then click image and then resize/skew
5. another box pops up and in the resize field I usually delete where it says 100% and put in 50% in both the horizontal and vertical fields......no need to change skew.
6. then click ok and your pic has been resized
7. now to save click file again and then save as and then finally save and your all done to upload onto findmall.

Its really that easy and hope this helps!!!

Anytime......thats what these forums are all about:thumbup:
