Two roman brooches and a hammy!!

Thought I'd post these so you could take a look.
Found these on a club site today. Been reliably informed that the enamelled brooch is a "Wirrel" type 1st/2nd Century and the second is a "Polden Hill" type.
In the middle is a small silver medieval hammered penny. A little damaged and worn but they all count!!!
Found using 2 tone ferrous settings.

Glad you guys liked the finds. I was bowled over when they came out.
I just thought you'd like to take a look at them!!!

The 2 tone ferrous is going great guns. Still using the same setup. ALL METAL with just the top line out. (excluding CO38 - CO4,
Ground Difficult as default (big silver struggles to break through in Neutral for some reason), Deep Off, Fast On.

I've noticed that people seem to be wanting to use the setup but insisting on some disc at the bottom. Heaven knows why.....defeats the whole object of this setup
due the machine wanting to null still.

I've explained my theory and reasoned arguements.......that's all I can do!!!

great finds....congrates.....do you think this pattern would help in the field i've been searching.....i've found several colonials and one cents....the oldest being 1714...also 3 reals and a half silver....butthere is a lot of nails.....i've done a lot of research on this field and i cant seem to findout why all the nails are there....the historical society doesnt know why either....some of the coins are very deep also...i've tried quick mask, but so much metal....i read andy's book daily...the pages are getting worn out...lol....but i've been thinking of trying tthe 2 tone FE......so what is your opinion.....thanks...ginger

Sounds like you're doing great already mate!!!
Just because you can't find any logged history doesn't mean it isn't there. Usually, loads of nails means a timber structure of some sort. Maybe it caught fire???

This type of field was made for these 2 tone ferrous settings.

It'll take 10 minutes to get your ears used to the low tone grunts....after that, the high tone targets will be unmistakeable.

Choose DEEP OFF, FAST ON, VOLUME GAIN 30, GROUND DIFFICULT.

This is the fastest way to use the ETrac. You don't have to slow right down.....just sweep at a reasonable speed.

Let us know how you get on.

Remember.....NO DISC ON THE BOTTOM!!!!!.......the major factor here for speed is not making the ETrac null over iron......make it give you a low tone!!

i'm rushing around right now to get stuff done so i can set up my etrac just like you said....it sounds similar to goes4ever's program....i'm setting both those and saving them....then heading out...i also found a cache of coins there all melted together. almost like they got hit by lightening....1744...then withing five feet i found 3 185, 1814 and a 1802...and a silver reale 1714....tons of nails....so i'm hopeing this will really help....i'll let you know how i do..
