wondering your thoughts on 8" donut vs 9x8..i have heard and read 9x8 is more stable and slightly deeper..would like to hear your thoughts....i am looking for 8x9..if any of you have one...thanks to all for your help

I have both. After many air tests I cannot see any difference in depth or otherwise with my Golden or Cortes.

I agree with Jabbo on this. In air tests on several of my machines I've gotten just a smidgeon more depth from the 8" donut, but not enough to make any real difference in the field, nor have I noticed any difference in stability.

I have used both a lot and I find the 8" is a little more stable and the 8x9 is a little deeper. I prefer the 8x9. When you crank the boost it may false on stubble or at end of sweep, but I really think it is more sensitive. But if I had the 8" and was looking for a new coil it would be the 12x10 and then the 5.75. Those 2 coils will have a much more noticeable difference.

The only other coils I'd consider would be the clean sweep or the 10x12 for depth.

Otherwise the 8" stock will do just fine.

Well of course the CleanSweep Coil is the greatest coil every put on the face of the earth, just not the deepest.
