underwater MD

I am getting information about underwater MD's. I don't want another high dollar unit like the minelab (already have the mine lab CTX). Have looked at the Garret, the Fisher models. Would appreciate any feedback on how well they work salt water and fresh water.

What kind of hunting are you planning on doing and general area...diving shallow waters, mid Atlantic ?

I think Garrett AT Pro might be good and it can go up to 10 feet deep!

Have you considered the Tesoro Tiger Shark (VLF for fresh water) or the Tesoro Sand Shark (PI for salt)?

Depends on the water. I use an AT Pro in fresh water and am entirely satisfied with it. However, I took it to a salt water beach this summer and it was overwhelmed with the mineralized sand - would not stop squawking.
My advice to you: Define where you'll be hunting and go to the Beach and Water/Scuba Diving forum and ask the same question. People on these forums are very helpful and will steer you in the right direction but they will need to know what you intend to do with the detector.
