Update On broken coil ears

jayhop

Well-known member
I shipped the coil and broken ears Saturday, they received it today.
I got an email a few minutes ago with a tracking number and message saying New coil.
That's a lot better than they told me in the last email. It was supposed to take 20 business days.
I do feel a little better now.

Just heard yesterday from Debbie at Minelab that they think the washers between the shaft and the coil ears get worn. She said check it by taking the bolt out of the coil ears and lifting up on the lower shaft. If the coil stays on the washers are thick enough, if the coil won’t stay on the lower shaft, it needs new washers. Thats the first time I heard this but am going to add it to my checks. HH
