US Calvary pocket knife?

Last couple of hunts yielded a few cool items. Here in N.J., 1895 IH cent (tid 32) and a Hebrew charm,.925 silver (tid 38-39) to "ward off the evil eye" per quick research. The knife (tid 36-37) was found during a hunt east of Sacramento, Ca., while visiting my brother who recently purchased a MXT pro, and took it on it's maiden voyage. Unfortunately,he didn't fair as well as older brother. I'd like to think the knife is related to the gold rush days, or at least WW1. Can't seem to find any knife images similar to it,that would help id it.Besides the U S letters, there are approx 52 stars on each side. May have to post it over whatzit forum...thanks for viewing.

Nice finds. I have not saw a knife like that one but it looks old enough to be from the times you mentioned. Someone will know about it for sure. Your brother will do fine with his MXT. Congratulations on those finds again. HH :minelab:
