A few days ago I found this small 18K Crucifix and during yesterday's afternoon water hunt.

Mr Dual Field and my new lightweight scoop brought this fine 12K ring up out of the "rock bottom"!!

They each were buried 8-10" deep in some of the toughest digging you'll ever run into metal detecting.

This Old Hunter enjoyed three four hour hunts over the past several days and weather is all that's keeping me out of the salty brine today!

A fine example of the small targets Dual Field helps me recover (One of the smallest was a BB from a BB gun!)

Nice Gold CJ, your killing them buddy........

Thanks for all your kind replies Friends!!

These two small jewels represent over twelve hours of metal detecting with many recoveries that were not so glamerous!

These were hours of hard digging, but it was a labor of love!!

I do enjoy this hobby and it is great to have you recognize the efforts of an Old Hunter with your replies!!!

There were days years ago in this small beach community when I recovered six gold rings in fewer hours, but those days are long gone here and I work hard to locate and recover even one small golden jewel, many lost for lots of years and buried deep!

Had I the resources and the time I would like to hunt a high end resort beach just once, but I have settled for our small local beach and make the most of what I have availible.

Thank you Clive for taking a moment to reply to my small post, I know you are one buisy Hunter!

GL&HH Friends,

CJ

HI Cupajo,
Looks like you have that dual field purring along very well, a couple of nice finds there.
I am still slogging along with the Infinium which is running very well. Found a golf club the other day about a foot down in the wet sand.:surprised: Be an interesting story as to how it became lost I guess.

Cheers and HH,
Fishers Ghost

Mudpuppy,

Being a plumber has kept my old carcass in fair shape (except for those extra lbs!!) and so far except for morning aches and pains I have been fine after a long hunt!

I take it slow and easy to be sure and hears those whispers i know and love!!

Hey FG, thanks for your reply Friend!

My Infinium is in reserve as my back-up machine, but as the targets get fewer I may put it back in service for a real world comparison with the Dual Field.

GL&HH Friends,

CJ
