they look like users to me. Much work and detail involved, a friend of mine also makes knives, it's a labor of love for sure!

Wow Buck,
Fine workmanship in those knives. I got interested in "Buck" knives years ago and own several different models of sheath knives and at least one folder in the "stockman" pattern.
With care they will last for several generations and provide excellent service. They, however, are not fine "works of art" such as you have made.
I am torn between placing such a fine creation in a display case and using it.

We have a Ford service manager that makes damascus steel knives part time. i think he does a very nice job.

belonging to my uncle while Goose shooting. I put high base loads in and touched off both barrels at a close in flock
knocked me flat, the right side of my face and forehead was purple for a week! Luckily i escaped serious injury! My uncle did not know why it happened but my Dad had some choice words for his brother
Those suckers sure look weird when they unravel. Nobody cared much about the gun at the time but in later years i learned that the old external hammer and ornately finished shot gun i destroyed was a very valuable heirloom.

That's a pretty amazing demonstration of knifemaker's skill.
Design, metal composition, tempering, and careful craftsmanship were all essential for that blade to pass the test.
I have doubts about trying such a test on one of his heavier patterned blades.
Every one of his creations is designed for a specific purpose and he surely knows what he is doing!
