:usaflag:I had my head down...focused on detecting, and almost walked right into this. If it had been a month or so back, I might have been in trouble.

The funnier part of this hunt was that a guy came out of the home that was part of this large lot, and demanded to know what we were looking for and if we had permission to be there. And he made sure that we understood that these were "his lots" and we were hunting on "his land". Well, after we explained to him that this place was his mother-in-laws land, and we had permission to be there, he changed his tune in a hurry...lol. I'll admit that it was a bit satisfying to send him home with his tail tucked between his legs.

Have a good weekend and happy hunting !!

different occasions.
I have a spot that was a livery/inn back in the 1700's, it has an old apple orchard on it.
I was workin 'round and twixt all the apple trees one afternoon and decided to take a rest under one.
I sat down and leaned aganst the tree and in a few minutes ( my hearing is real bad)
i heard a faint hummmmmmmmm sound.I looked over my shoulder and around the tree
to find myself face to face with one o' those nests about 2 foot off the ground.
I veeeeeery gingerly and slowly got up on my feet and RAN!!!!!! It was June.

Next instance was, my wife and i were swingin the very yard we live in now,
about 4 years ago we didn't live here then and the house was empty.
Anywho, i'm workin along the driveway when this car comes in at a high rate o' speed
slingin gravel and kickin up dust. This youngster, about 19-20 jumps out o' the car
all puffed up and says with his best stern voice full o' sarcasm, "can i help you?"
I calmly looked at him, looked at my DFX, looked around and then calmly said...
" ahhh, no, i know how to do this " .Man i thot his head was gonna explode
He started to go off on a tangent and i calmly interupted him and said....
( i'm 6-1, 220 ) " look son, calm down before i stuff you back in your car,
your mother knows we're here " ( she owned the place )
He whipped out his cell phone and after about 30 seconds got back in his car and slowly drove away

Bumping into that ould have been a nightmare!
Good job setting the non land owner straight too.

Yes sir...If ud have bumped it a while back; you would have had to see how fast you could run while holding your detector..ha ha. Cool pictures.
