Went detecting with a friend today and we went to a location that he has been researching. We got to the location and he found a couple of quarters. I found a penny or two and after a while we left the location and went to an old park. We hunted there a while when my friend said that he had gotten the location wrong and that the place we were trying to go we missed by a block. We went to the revised location and after about 5 minutes I got a screaming 92 and I almost didn't dig it because there were so many aluminum cans in the area that were frustrating me. I raised the coil off the ground about 7-8 inches and the target went away and at that moment I chose to dig. At about 5-7 inches I eyed the large grey disk partially covered by the dirt and retrieved it. Much to my surprise I discovered a 1952 Franklin Half Dollar. I called my friend over and we did a high 5 in celebration. Sillver #1 for 2025 !!!!
