V3i Coil

The answer would be NO. You could use it and it will not hurt the detector but if you check at Kellyco you see It is not listed for the V3i. You will have trouble because of the 22.5 kHz frequency.

It sure will not hurt anything to try it. My guess is it will work like the old 12X10 SEF.......... results may vary. Like Rob said, it may lack in the lower conducting targets.

I called Kellyco a few months back they said no on the ultimate 13 on the V3i. Yazoo

Thanks for the feedback
.
Any suggestions for a bigger DD for the V3i? Maybe a WOT?

I'm older & vertically challenged, & need to cover as much ground as possible in a shorter time than you fitter buggers!:detecting:

A couple of weeks ago I went relic hunting at one of my old sights ( didn't swing the coil over anything special) and thought that I'd try my old 14" DD DFX coil on my V3i. It worked great. It hit hard in 22.5 Khz. I was amazed at the depth that i got on targets. If you use a coil like that , I reccommend using a "Swingy Thingy". It sure saves the back and sholder on an extended hunt! Best of luck and ...
