Very nice 5 hour hunt gave up a Barber Quarter that's a BLAZER:yikes:

I would keep the dirt clod with the reverse impression of the coin with the coin. Would make a great display item. Great Find. HH...Jesse.

That is one sweet barber quarter Bryce.:clapping: I really love those barbers and you certainly got a beaut there buddy. Gotta love those smart &#@%# that think they know it all. We all know that not all places are completely hunted out and you sure proved this jerk to be wrong. Good luck on your next hunt. HH.

Eddie

That's a beautiful Barber Quarter, Bryce. I guess I have been lucky so far. I haven't ran into any other hunters like that when I have been out. The only bad experience I had was when those 2 j-offs chased me off their sacred ball field back in the spring. I felt like I handled that one ok, I didn't get nasty with them even though I wanted to.

Now I I can just get this Etrac to finding that kind of stuff..............

I watched you knot your fist up and thought "oh no..here we go":crylol:
When you went into the pouch for the coins though...I knew the guys front teeth were safe for another day:jump:
I was close to showing him what the Swamp Thing Stomp was too.
I guess he would have figured it out on his own though once he pulled my foot out of his rear.:lmfao:
I worked getting permission for that place and I know him and his cronie didn't have it because the owner said I was the only one who had asked.
Good huntin with you again and we both got some old coins. That quarter sure did clean up good...wow.
See u later....Darrell

Sorry you had the misfortune of encountering a rude person like that. Glad you were able to put him in his place and Darrell summed it all up for you guys.

I just rinse it in warm water...then rub a smidge of baking soda between the finger and thumb...then rub gently for a few seconds.
That's all there is to it.

I have been told you are NOT supposed to do this...but I am NOT a collector...and I DON'T sell any of my finds. I just love finding the stuff.

For me...this gentle method works like a charm..and the silver looks awesome to me.

I don't do it on valuable coins...and most of the valuable coins I've found are crummy condition anyway...so no since cleaning them.

On some of the silver though...a tiny smidge of baking soda and warm water works well on silver.
