Last Friday he found 6 silver in a park the 3 of us have pounded all year....I was with him last saturday when he found 8 silver, and sunday when he found 7 more....That 7th one last sunday was his 400th silver coin of 2009....Friday saturday and sunday he found a total of 21 silver......Me him and tmanfromtexas have hunted together all year...We all use E-Trac's...........Between the 3 of us we have found 898 silver coins so far this year....I have counted in my (10) silver war nickles but GOIO,and Tman have not counted thiers yet.........
You can click the You Tube link, and then click the lower right box to watch it in Full screen....If you feel like rating this video....Please rate it on the acheivements of my freind, and his E-Trac more so than the quality of the video....As I was trying to speed hunt and find silver as well (I need 11 more to make my 300th) i wasn't following him around filming every find...
The E-Trac is an Awesome machine, and so is my freind Greg when it comes to hunting/digging silver...

My Congratulations Sr. :clapping::thumbup::clapping::please:
WELL DONE Hey Mc. you will do it to it just takes time

Very Nice!:clapping: I see your pattern that you use, but what are your settings Gain, Sensitivity, etc. Also do you dig everything? or is it location? How do you account for yous success?

I watched the video and left comments. Both of you have done an outstanding job this year. Major congrats to both of you. When I saw GOIO speed hunting for silver at the beginning of the video, I wondered, "Does he always hunt that fast?" Then I saw him slow down later in the video. 5 stars!!!

He dug 15 to my 3 silver last weekend....I was just not swingin my coil over them then, and I was getting frustrated, because I was digging the same signals at the same depths 2"-and deeper....I was digging all the clad dimes and mems...He dug quit a few of each as well, but was hitting silver at 3"-7".....
We both hunt Conductive & Multi-Tones......He hunts Deep on Fast off, I hunt Deep & Fast ON....Other settings are, Gain / Both at 27, Sens / Both Auto +3....He hunts Low Trash & Neutral Ground, while I hunt mostly High Trash & Difficult Ground...Its a Crap shoot....But where ever we go the next day or time....Even if it is a different part of the same park,we always start out the same way....Dig all cent/dime signals 2" and deeper the first 2-3 hours till we find what depth the silver are at....
Today we went back to the same place, just hunted 200' away from where we last hunted, and both had good results in our perspective areas..(Respecting each others space).....He hunted one side of a road ,I hunted the other....about 200 feet from each other & started swinging like mad men..
He dug a merc at 1",and 4 more silvers at 4"-7"..On my side of the road ....Every cent signal over 4" was a memorial, even down to 8"....I dug a clad dime at 7" ,so I decided to dig surface to deep dime & Quarter signals ,and only cent signals 2"-4" deep....I came out with 8 wheaties at shallow depths of 2",3" & 4"....And the most shallow silver I ever had in a days hunt...I got 4 rosie's and 2 mercs.....I dug a merc at 1", a rosie at 1", 2 rosies at 2", one at 3", and a merc at 4"-5"...Where I was hunting had to have fill dirt on top ? But it worked out..Eleven silver between us today..........We will go to another section of the park tommorrow, and I will try to get 5 more silver to get my 300th..
Hope that helps,Dave

That is so impressive! I hunt at least 10 hours a week (about 3 hours /hunt) and have 14 silver so far this year. To say I am amazed is an understatement! Thanks for the video!

Thanks Dan................He / We hunt that fast when it's not toooo trashy....When we get 3-4 targets per swing we slow down a bit..In trash we slow WAY down, and even hunt with the 6x8" SEF when its insane trashy.....BUT........When there is 1-2 or 3 targets per swing....I swing like I used to with my XLT...You lose the deeper than 6" targets alot,,,but
everyone thinks the silver are mostly from 7"-10".....Sometimes they are,and we will slow down for the deep ones, but I have dug 6"-7" silver swinging that fast...
It all depends on the site.....
Today I dug 1",2" & 3" silver and wheats, and also dug 7" clad dimes and 8" memorials.....So I started digging surface to deep dime & Quarter signals
and penny signals from 2-4"......I got 8 wheats at 2-4",and 6 more silver today, and GOIO got 8 wheats ,and 5 more (Making his total 405).........GOIO showed me you have to dig it all the first 2-3 hours to find out what depth the silver are.....
Early in the year...I watched a guy hunting with us (With his DFX)....We found a few silver with our E-Tracs,(I think I found 2 barbers and a merc)....He was getting dissapointed, and decided to work on his clad count......He dug a 1" dime signal that turned out to be a seated dime in great shape.....I STILL Have not dug a Seated dime.....And I had went over that spot before he did///$*#$^#*^.....I just would not dig a silver signal less than 4" .......... T H E N...!!!.....L.O.L.

Thanks for the information. My hunting buddies and I are hitting an old park today, and I will put your program and settings to the test.. Congratulations, and keep posting your great finds.:clapping:

I really enjoyed that video and thanks for your tutorial on identifying silver depth. It makes perfect sense to get a feel for the ground your hunting by digging every high conductive signal for the first hour plus, then start zeroing in on the depth range where you're finding the oldies. I'll definitely give that a try my next time out. Good luck on surpassing 300!
