Vista GOLD and Vista SMART - some improvements

Complying with the wishes of our customers and strive to improve the quality of
our products, some months ago (in May) we offered to all our dealers an improved
version of Vista SMART and Vista GOLD. Our American dealers at that time were
informed about these changes too.
Because some clients spoke about knobs, pinpoint button and their "feel and
Look" we made these changes.
The new knobs are made in Switzerland and grip very strong the stift on
potentiometer. The knobs are with messing socket :

The best is that they fit really, really good and the knobs do not scroll. The quality is perfect. There is no danger to be changed the position of the knob after аdjusting.

It is nice when a person from a metal detecting company posts on a forum and even better when they listen to their customers and make improvemnts to their products. Good job DeepTech .

Thanks for the improvements. I use a Smart, and was hopeing a 12"-13" coil might be in the works. Thanks for a nice relic machine.

Dear Rosi at Deeptech
Does these new knobs allso help a little to avoid water (rain) to go in to the electronic ?
Henrik.

Nice job  I have had nothing but great results with my Vista Gold while relic hunting. It pulled my first and only Bust coin out of a carpet of nails I had hammered many times with several high end detectors. Here in SW Missouri bust coins are quite rare and even more so in little worn condition like my Half-dime was .

A little yes, below there are O-rings too, but you must not forget that the box is not hermetic.
The knobs can be changed easy from everyone who has little skill and the right tools.

And have them shipped to us? I have a RG 1000 I would like to change the knobs on.........MO

I am happy to hear the parts are made , in switzerland, and not I hope in a slave shop in china , my grip with chines made parts is they do not pay the workers, what is fair, and the parts do not have quality , m guess is the swiss make good parts and pay well I would rather have to pay a little more for my detector than support abuse of workers. like to get a vista machine some day . nice knowing they are improving on what is an already good machine. Gunnar

Rosi that's awesome news, i'm still running the RELIC and got out quick today and found a old wooden handled jack knife and a deep lamp mantle and other stuff not one square nail and using the small elliptical coil, thanks for all that you do!!!!!!:clapping:

Everyone can order, of course. The price for complete set is:
27 USD - for GOLD
22 USD - for SMART
But maybe you will find such knobs in USA.
The old knobs are with longer stift. That's why everybody who wants to change the knobs, must cut down the stifts to a shorter length.
The length of the stift measured from the front panel must be 6mm.
If the length is bigger than 6 - 7mm the knobs don't embed well and are moving.
In the following video - from 20.00 up to the end - you can see how the knobs can be changed. Appologies that the video is in German but it is filmed during the visit of our German distributor in our workshop:

Hi all.
Since Rosi from Deeptech sayed "Maybee you can find such knobs in USA", I dare to tell us this and it will properly help you.
The Company in Switerland is RITEL. Link. http://www.ritel.ch/
I will try to find the order numbers... (Diameter, lenght, and so)
Otherwise its a Very fair prize Deeptech is offering new knobs. (27 USD / 22 USD)
Henrik.

I purchased a coaxial coil along with my IDX back in 2001 just for the purpose of detecting under power lines and other high output emi and still use these two together for this purpose only...There is 100% zero interference and I can even ground balance...Places may be pounded to death, but under power lines it is all virgin ground...A Gold with a coaxial coil, A Deadly Combo...

I'm working under two high EMI high voltage parallel lines. Place of IWW!!! This is virgin place. My Whites Spectra V3i doesn't work here and XP Deus has serious EMI issues.

Can you improve my sprite?

You maybe able to send it back to deeptech and have the machine tweaked, I will find out and let you know ok
