Want to buy some type of shovel

I have gotten into relic hunting and would like to buy a relic shovel of some sort . Let me know what you have. Thanks Travis.

How long is it . I am 6'2" so I need something a little long.

:detecting:If you don't want the free one buy a Lesche or Predator with a tall man handle. Check out Predator Tools .com they are a sponser. HH :minelab:

I am not sure why everyone goes and pays $50 plus for a shovel? What me and my hunting buddies do is go to the home center and buy what i believe is called a drain spade. IT looks like a spade shovel only with about a 18 to 24 inch long head on it and a 3 foot D handle on it. I take and shorten the head to about 8 inches with an angle grinder to make it very light and so i don't have to lift my leg up 2 feet off the ground to dig with it. I have been using the same shovel for about 4 years and it stays in the back of my pickup. And i am only down about $22.

Like you I needed a good relic shovel. I looked around and tried several but could not find one I liked. Well I went to Lowe's and purchased a 12" blade trenching shovel. I cut off 3" of the blade and shortened the handle. Measures "31 inches and you can turn some serious soil with it. HH TomB

Should have added I paid $27.95 for the shovel.
