Wanted:Etrac lower shaft assembly

Mosley

New member
Anyone know where I can purchase a lower shaft assembly with coil mounting hardward for my Etrac? I found one dealer that carries them, but they are on back order.

They are on back order everywhere.

I have a Minelab Etrac and a Minelab Explorer II. My Minelab Explorer II lower shaft is exactly the same shaft as the one that goes on an Etrac. If you have a lower shaft for an explorer, take it off the explorer and put it on the Etrac. I've done it. It works great.

If you have an upper shaft for an Explorer and need an upper shaft for an Etrac, the explorer upper shaft is exactly the same thing as an Etrac upper shaft. Only difference is the color of the shaft. I've done it. It works.

I once bought a coil just to get the lower shaft for my other coil! I ended up getting the shaft free after I re-sold the coil. ;)

Call JW at KellyCo and get on the list. They'll be coming in. Tell him Don sent you.

Give David Keith at Dixie a call. He lost a lot of stuff in the floods this summer but he may have one... buy extras when you find them. I have three. I keep the Pro coil on one, 8x6 on one, and 12x10 on one... it helps for a quick change! If I sell my SE, I guess i'll have to give one up... maybe I better wait until they are available again. Someone whould jump into the "aftermarket".
