Don't know ? Would you shoot a bear if it was trying to kill you or your friends? I had bear spray....

You would have two choices...
1. If Bear season with license and tag.
or
2. If threatened with the fear of life for you or a loved one.
For the most part bears are timid creatures and will avoid humans
unless provoked or in defense of their cubs.
What ever you do don't go hunting bare...
Too many chiggers and skeeters... LOL

I agree with HuntinDog. I've come upon several bears over the years. Very timid. What really frightens me is the deer ticks !
