Was I in Two Tone Ferrous?

A fellow detectorist on another forum told me I was not really in two tone ferrous because I was in the Coin mode when I changed the settings. He claims you must first be in the Relic mode and then change the settings to ferrous sounds and 2 tones with an open screen. He stated that because I made these changes while I was in the Coin mode, I was not really in two tone ferrous.

Is it true you must be in the Relic mode to be in two tone ferrous?

Dan,

Its true that when you load the Minelab Relic mode into your primary screen, it puts the machine in Ferrous sounds (It also loads up as Multi tones). The fact remains it doesn't matter what discrimination pattern your in, when you go to the audio and choose 2 tones and Ferrous....That is what you get. Doesn't matter what discrimination pattern your in. That's whats fun about this machine. Basically you tell it what you want to hear.

Thanks.

yeah I agree, I am not sure what he is thinking, you choose ferrous sounds and you pick 2 tones, the disc is up to you. The less disc you use the better it will work because less disc means less filters, faster it can process, pretty simple!
