Watch fob

This fob is a bit larger than a silver dollar. appears to be made of brass/copper alloy. my son found it while we were metal detecting in Waco TX. I have not been able to find much on this fob. however the circle A ginger ale Co. was started in Waco TX. but the founder joined the inventor of Dr. Pepper and become a partner in the Dr. Pepper Co. so I'm guessing it dates back to the mid to late 1800's.

Excellent find! Would have loved to make a find like that!

Your fortunate to have a family member who shares the same interests.:twodetecting:

A very nice find ! :beers:

This Circle A Brand bottle was made between 1891 and 1923 at the Artesian Manufacturing and Bottling Works in Waco. That'll give you a timeframe for your fob. That fob came out of the ground with not much patina. Maybe it hasn't been lost long or is it plated?

Nice looking fobs!
