NoNice does it possibly still work??
This is my second whole wrist watch.Like most detectorist over the years I have found pieces of watches but never a whole one, working or not. No gold pieces though. A couple of silver backs but mostly tin types. All were found in farm fields. Some poor worker looked at his watch, thought he put it in his bib pocket and it hit the ground. Ironic that later he could have run over his own watch with his tractor but more likely a team of mules pulling a plow or harrow. M M , a nice find!
I think it is color gold like many watches are, but if it was real gold I would think it would be looking like new and mark the K if it is. That what all that I have found is. I don't think Bulova made any gold cases, but dont know everything and the best way is take it to jewelry store as they would know , or a pawn shop. How do you know its gold?
If it was real gold, it should be marked. Bulova is a modern watchmaker. I was recently looking for my HS ring in an old jewelry box. No luck but I did a watch face that looked like gold.I think it is color gold like many watches are, but if it was real gold I would think it would be looking like new and mark the K if it is. It is rolled gold 10k over metal frame. made in 1955.I think it is color gold like many watches are, but if it was real gold I would think it would be looking like new and mark the K if it is.
