Water Tower at La Coste, Texas..............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
This picture was taken in La Coste, Texas, a small farming town Southwest of San Antonio. The town was established in the late 1800's at the present Farm to Market road 471 and the Union Pacific Railroad line. The population in 2012 was 1,119.

Friday night football is alive and well, and the town gives recognition to the football team with the painting on this water tower.

I took the picture with a Sony A300 DSLR camera, Minolta 28-85mm lens, F8, 1/400, ISO 100, Manual Mode. Kelley (Texas) :)

Nice photo of the water tower Kelley. The clouds came out nicely, and it is not your everyday water tower. The one in my city will probably be torn down eventually, although it is a more standard water tower with no design.

I wish I was able to get out and see more of the small towns here in Cali that are up in the foothills. Some of them are quite small and have many photo opportunities.
