Jim,
So far, my GQSS in the Pelican 1060 case has worked better than all my expectations. To date, not a single drop has entered the case. I must have a 100 hours of use with it in the water so if there were going to be problems then I would have known about them by now. Having said that, I was meticulous in how I went about the (simple) process.
I had Mr Bill send me the Grayghost Underwater headphones which suit me perfectly. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt="

If you go back through the postings, maybe under "Tony", I posted the process in detail. Not sure if the threads are still there or not <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">
The engineering behind it is fairly straightforward as is the basic soldering, having said that, I ensured that I was 100% happy/confident with all stages of the modification as any leaks would void my warranty and rightly so !
Don't forget that Eric has the new Aquasearch V2, which allows interchangeable headphones and of course, access to the external controls.
Let me know if I can help any further,
Tony.
