Well Looky Here Bryce! I got out for a bit on Saturday. Told ya there would be finds posted real soon!

I got out with Tim and Dale on Saturday for awhile and hit a few spots. We all got some Keepers but we were hoping for better results. At least we got out and enjoyed the day doing what we really enjoy doing. Not sure on totals for Tim and Dale but they found a few Silver and a few other Coins also. I wasn't finding too much at the beginning but by the end of the day, that is when the Coins started surfacing. Wish we would have found this spot earlier since I know there is still Coins there to be found. Not bad for the first time out this year but I think it could have been better. Here's what I got on Saturday. I ended up with 5 Silver which were 2 Barber Dimes dated 1898 and 1906, and 3 Mercury Dimes dated 1918,1923-s, and 1937-d. The '98 Barber Dime was the first Silver I found and it was a weird Signal. It was bouncing around a lot (low 20's on up to 28 on Digital) and was found about 7"-8" Deep. I am pretty sure it was on Edge since I ended up scratching it while digging for it. I hate that feeling when you know its a Good Old Coin and then you flip the Coin over and find out that you nicked it while trying to recover it. There is a bit of a blemish before the scratch which also tells me it had to be on edge from the blade rubbing against it. I'm just glad it was a Common Date and also that it didn't have any Liberty visible on the Head Band. I also found 1 Buffalo Nickel dated 1936-d. For Pennies, I found 11 Wheat Pennies. They are dated 19,19-d,25-d,28,28-d,37-s,42-s,(2)45-s,46-d, and 47-d. All and all, it was great to just get out again and start popping out a few Silver. I got my Silver Fix! I also dug some Clad which was 37 Pennies, 4 Nickels, 18 Dimes and 18 Quarters. I could have had much more but I figured I best focus on the Deeper Targets since every Coin I dug that was fairly Shallow was something New. I also found a Key, a Hair Berrett of a Crayon, and some other item that has bendable clasps on the back. I really hope on getting out next weekend but that will only depend on the weather. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the pics. Until next time! Good Luck and HH to you all.[attachment 85622 DirtySilver.jpg][attachment 85633 CleanedSilver.jpg][attachment 85627 DirtyNickelandWheats.jpg][attachment 85635 CleanedNickelandWheats.jpg][attachment 85624 DirtyMisc..jpg][attachment 85634 CleanedMisc..jpg]

After cleaning up the Silver, I realized that the '23-s Merc was in Very Nice Shape. Full Bands on the back with some Mint Luster still visible.:surprised: WOW!!! Got some redemption on that Barber Dime that I scratched on Saturday. Thank God that I didn't hit this Beauty! The other Coin I have in the Pic is a 1958 Wheat Penny that I found in a Roll this Sunday. Very Nice Find for being in Circulation! You just never know where you may find some real Gems at. Enjoy! Good Luck and HH.:detecting:[attachment 85652 MercandWheatFront.jpg][attachment 85655 MercandWheatBack.jpg]

I will be looking forward to your next post. Just waiting for the Snow in my area to melt and then I can get back down to business. I am looking forward in seeing what everyone finds this year so post away. Thanks again for the reply and Good Luck and HH when you get back into the swing of things.:detecting:

James,

Awesome start to the season. Always look forward to your posts! Hopefully me and the XS will "click" this year and I'll start pulling in a few of my own.

If you need any tips, feel free to ask. Just PM me with what kind of settings you may be using and maybe I can help you get more out of your XS. Glad you enjoy my Posts! Thanks again and Good Luck and HH in 2008.

I'm glad you got out and dug some goodies. I knew you had some silver to post...and I hope you find tons more this year.

Can't wait until next weekend to get out and find more Silver. I may try during the week and if I do, I hope for a couple of Silver, of course. Sorry to hear about the Rain in your area. But at least the Silver will be there waiting for you when it dries up a bit. Good to be back! Good Luck and HH.

How many Silver do you have for the year already??? I hope to add to the Silver Count real soon. I just hope that the Snow is done with for the year and it will start turning nice out so I can start hitting my usual sites again. But it can't hurt if I go Exploring some New Sites and have high hopes of scoring some Much Needed Silver. Thanks for the reply Crow-Duck and Good Luck and HH to you.:detecting:

I also hope the season holds many great finds not only for me but for everyone that enjoys this great hobby of ours. Hope to see a lot of great finds posted this year by everyone. Good Luck and HH to you all!

I'm hoping to get out and do some Relic Hunting sometime this year myself. Its a blast chasing down that Old Lead. Good Luck and HH.

I think they like to keep it a mystery since others in our Club occassionally look on here and see what we have found. Myself, I like sharing my results. Its been a rare occassion that Dale and Tim have had Rick(ND) post their finds but hopefully this year we will hit PayDirt and come home with loads of Silver. Then I am sure they will want Rick(ND) to post their finds. Only until that happens will we know. I know they got some Silver, Wheats, and a Token each, and possibly a few other things but the Pics are better than words can describe. Thanks for the reply Tinfoil and Good Luck and HH to you this year.

I can't wait until this weekend to see what I may find next. It sure is fun to see Silver in the bottom of a hole or in a pile of dirt. Thanks for the reply and glad you like the pics. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
