It was 30 degrees but is supose to be freezing rain and snow tomorrow so I had to go.The Indians are 1906,1904,1899 and 1881.1912d wheat and part of a cuff link I believe.I think I just about got the field cleaned out as over half of it is filled to deep to find anything and I can only imagine what goodies are covered up,Ray.

And it paid off.

Many would call it foolish rather than brave but I know I may not get to hunt much more till spring and hate to give it up,Ray.

you could come south for a vacation in the middle of you freezing months. hunt some west texas ghost towns and give me a lesson or two lol. good finds ray.
well i have some old houses and an old school to hunt in the morning. all untouched by metal detectors till tomorrow. im excited metal detecting is just beginning good for me. strang how mine starts with the moisture of winter and yours ends from the cold of winter.

Good luck tomorrow you lucky guy.Suppose to get down to 9 degrees here tonight.I would love to come down south for some hunting but can't find the free time to do so,Ray.

we are all meeting at rbholt's place for some Snowbird ghost towning.

Thanks RB.

well i hit 5 old places and came out with just 7 cents. the places were just to pore to drop any money.
i did find 2 old tvs with tubes in them so i got the tubes out to try and sell on ebay.

my hunting partner found a hole under a foundation and pulled out some books from the 1920s and they were in very good condition. no rot or termite damage.

ill post picks later of the old houses in a new topic

Sounds like more fun than being shut in with low teens anyway.Going to take a fellow forum member to the ballfield tomorrow and see if I left anything.Warmed up to 46 today and should be about the same tomorrow.A lot of sod there so it should not be frozen much yet,Ray.

Gonna hit high 40s tomorrow so going back to the ballfield with a fellow forum member and see if I missed any good ones,Ray.
