It wouldn't be good if I keep on hunting like I do all year round. I would clean out the Silver too fast and I really don't want that to happen. I have to try to make this hobby last at least 40 or more years! Just depends when and if I ever clean out all the old sites. Where are you located at Jbow? Good Luck and HH.

I am in Cartersville, GA. It is smack dab in the middle of Sherman's campaign for Atlanta of 1864. In about 10 days I am moving to a home in Cassville, GA. It is just a few miles north of Cartersville and both armies were all over the place there. I will be able to walk out my back door and relic hunt, my woods connect with other woods that connect with other woods and it ammounts to 1000s of acres where both Hardee's and Polk's corps were and then there were yanks all over them. Before the war between the states, Cassville was the cultural center of NW GA. It boasted 4 hotels, two colleges, and maany fine homes and churches. Sherman did not burn it at first but after there was guerilla warfare on his supply line ge decided to make the civilians pay. He send soldiers back and with a 15 minute warning they burned the town. To make a long stroy short, the railroad moved to Cartersville and Cassville was never re-built. It is still a community with GAs oldest post office and one country store. A church and a house survived. It is a great place to be moving to. Also NW GAs largest sports complex will be 1/4 mile away. Detecting heaven...

It sounds like one heck of a spot to live next to and I can imagine just how many Relics are out there in your area waiting for someone to find them one day. Can't wait to see you post some finds of some of those great Relics you find. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:
