So besides bringing my oldest coins I've dug, I decided to bring the silver coins I've dug in my yard since moving into this 1779 Greek Revival house 8 years ago. This is not including the 2 large cents, half a dozen Indian head pennies, silver spoons, 5 Civil War buttons, etc. Most of these were dug within the first couple months of moving here, and 60% of them were found around a very large 300 year old tree in the front yard. The latest one I found was a Standing Liberty about 3 months ago. It was standing on edge right right up against the cement walkway, 3 inches down in the dirt, and not giving a good signal but good enough to investigate. The oldest coins besides the large cents and Indian heads is the seated half dime with no date, and a 1902 Barber dime. Thanks for looking.
