Wet muddy hunts nets 4 silvers and semi-key wheat

Well last nite we had a big warm up, but it rained cats and dogs, ground was super saturated. It was 54 degrees at noon, so I headed out. I spotted a early 1900s house with a small corner lot, stopped and knocked, got permission.

Got rained on twice, but stuck it out. Wind kept picking up to 25 mph with gusts at 35 that about blew me over, temps dropping faster that someone dropping clad.

It was a good yard, got some clad, 12 wheats, one was ACTUALLY a semi key 1910-S, my first semi key wheat in 4 years of detecting! about time...lol other early dates were 1915, 16-D, 18S.

Got a 1924 dog tag that had a huge nail right on top of it, surprised I even got a signal....no wait, I got an etrac, I'm not surprised....lol

3 silver dimes 1954 rosie, 2 mercs, 1917 and 1942, and a sterling ring. The clay marble was in a hole with a wheat.

Slopping in the mud, and withstanding the rain and wind was worth it.

You're crazy man! I just got one of those 1910-s wheaties a couple of months ago and it was in perfect shape. Congrats on your finds.....gotta be tough mud fishing...lol

Just noticed the tag said Van Wert....I used to ride bulls in Van Wert and Celina about 10 years ago. Nice place.

I too also found a 1910 S last week in my own yard, real good shape until I got it with the Lesche:ranting:. Those are some great finds.
