What a beautiful day for digging !!!

Well kind of disappointed because my xterra did not get here. Spoke with the post office and they said it will be here tomorrow. It was beautiful t-shirt weather this afternoon so I took the X-3 and went back to my brother's lot. I did not find any silver but I did get 3 wheaties a 1941, 1940, and I believe a 1926. It is so green that I could not make out the date very well. I know there has got to be some silver on the lot somewhere so I am going to keep working it until I find some. There is so much melted metal from the fire on the lot it is a little frustrating. Right before I left, I cranked the disc. up to 9 and my last find was two of the wheaties in one hole. I got a real whispery (is that a word?) signal and knew they were deep. I dug a deep plug about 7 inches and they were still there so I put my pinpointer down in the hole and they were under about a 1/2" of soil. I was really happy because I didn't want to go home with just one wheatie when I know there is better stuff out there. I'm going to hit it again this weekend if the good weather holds up. It's supposed to be in the upper 50's but there's a chance of rain.

Glad you were able to get out to hunt and come home with a few finds, but I'm sorry your new detector didn't arrive today. I know how frustrating it can be to wait on something you are soooooo excited about getting! Hope you are able to get out with it when it gets here and will find a truck load of goodies!

Congrats on getting out and on your wheatie finds! Sorry about your new detector, but it'll get there----just have to be patient! It was a beautiful day here also and I think in the 40's but had to spend it from 2:37 pm until 5:00 pm at the dr's office! Sure was a long afternoon and tired me out! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Nice finds. Glad you had beautiful weather to hunt in. We here in Indiana have 15 inches of that white stuff on the ground and maybe 10 more inches coming this Monday.

Wheaties are keepers! 50 degrees!
Can't remember the days when we seen those temps! :sadwalk:
