What advantage does the T2 SE have over the G2 other than depth, if any?

That is really about it minus a lower freq that is generally better for coins. G2 can for sure hold its own in the coin dept though.

Naturally, the first thing is, as you mentioned, much better depth, in both the All metal and Discriminate modes.

The T2 provides a user choice of several Tone ID options.

You get a Target ID and VDI response all the time with the T2.

The T2 has a variable Sensitivity control for the All Metal mode separate from the Discriminate mode and even the pinpoint mode has it's own gain adjustment.

The T2 has a separate variable Volume control.

The T2 lets the user make a Fast Grab (Ground Grab) Ground balance adjustment in either the Discriminate or All Metal mode.

Personally, I like the rear-positioned headphone Jack better, and I also prefer the AA battery operation compared with a 9-V system, but those are more personal choices.

The T2 lacks the micro-jack for the headphones, but for most of us that's no big deal.

I'm sure other things can be mentioned but those are the main ones that I relate to.

The T2 is the only Teknetics model made today that can adjust for a true 'zero' Discrimination setting. I am not referring to the numeric reference, such as '1' with the Omega or '0' with the G2/GB Pro, but a real all metal accept setting at minimum discrimination in very mineral-challenged sites.

I wish the G2, Omega and all the others had a true all metal accept minimum Disc. adjustment. If I use my 'Homestead Rock' or most 4"-5" thick Dirt Clods, or place a coin in plain sight between the two rocks I use in my seminars, models like the White's MXT's, M6, Classic III SL and IDX Pro and Teknetics T2 can all hit on an Indian Head cent placed under the 'H.R,' the Dirt Clod or between the two rocks. The other Teknetics models, and some other competitive offerings, fail those tests.

It's just another T2 'plus'.
