Have had the etrac for about 2 months now and can't get the hang of pinpointing!?? Have a exterra 705 and a atpro and don't have any problem with them...am about ready to sell this thing what do u guys think...I watch every video on utube that has anything to do with that subject what can I do to better at this machine?? Thanks for any help!!

Have you tried practicing just laying a coin on the ground? Try it on a clean spot first then try with some trash nearby. I use the normal pinpointing setting and it is very accurate but can be off if trash is close by. The normal pinpointing uses a "ratcheting" effect that starts out with a wide signal over the target then ratchets down to a pinpoint as you swing back and forth across the target.

if you hit pinpoint and swing slow it will be a long beep that changes pitch as you get closer to the target, mark the center of your coil with your eyes and turn 90 deg and do the same... I personally just do that without hitting pinpoint, but if I do use it I swing quickly over the target for a short beep this way any junk targets in the area wont get picked up... hope this helps...
