What differences in readings can I expect between dry and moist soils

I bought my Etrac in June of last year. We had the all time record drought here last year so I only detected in powder dry soils with absolutely zero moisture. Now this winter we have been receiving moisture. I was very happy with the Etrac last summer. What differences can I expect in readings, depth etc this spring. It will still be several weeks before I can get out because of the snow and frozen ground.

I highly suggest you go back to your best areas and hunt them again while they are moist. The signals come in clearer and coins that you missed that are deep may stand out. I have one guy here that will only hunt when the ground is wet. He is kinda silly but he doesnt have a lot of time to go back over sites either.

There is no way to answer that as there are WAY to many variables. Moist not WET ground usually produces better depth and ID but no exact percentage.
