What is the lowest or oddest signal you've dug on deep copper or silver??

I got a solid CO 36 very deep and when I recovered I had 1 wheat and 1 merc. No idea why the low reading.

Don't worry about the numbers. Worry more about signals sounding round if your searching for deep coins. Plant you a test garden with odd shaped metal items and coins buried at multiple depths and get used to what a coin sounds like. I have dug deep silver from 25fe-32Co up to 12fe-49co. Minerals in the ground and co-located targets will strongly influence the digital ID. Listen for repeatable targets and learn what round sounds like and you'll dig what others miss.

Exactly... stuff can come in anywhere. I have dug good targets that sounded good, but wouldn't even lock on at all... just bounced all around, but sounded good. It takes time to learn this and to trust your ears.

I've only had my ETrac for about a month, but I've already dug a worn Indian Head cent that read a consistent conductive 29 at about 7 to 8 inches.

Don't let numbers talk you out of digging when the audio says you should. You will dig more trash, but you will also be surprised and learn.

Good luck!
